I ended up picking up the POWERbot R7070 Pet Robot and I'm in love with this little thing so far. Once I unboxed it, pretty simple I setup the Samsung Smarthings app, charged the POWERbot, and connected it to Wi-Fi. It was fairly easy. Picks up the hair quickly with no effort from me. When I first used it, I thought it wasn't picking anything up, then I looked at the canister and its picking everything up. Easy pet hair removal.  Like I said in my title, I have a 9 month old Boxer/Labrador puppy. All the little hairs where on the floor and I had no idea it was so much until the vacuum finished. The tiny hairs was in round bundles. I had no idea i left all that there. We also have brick flooring in the kitchen and it just went right over that from tile flooring to brick without hesitation. That was cleaned and I had no idea if it could, since it is a very uneven surface with the different grooves in the brick but the POWERbot did its job! We was looking for a robot vacuum in the middle of deep cleaning and this has far exceeded my expectations. The Samsung POWERbot R7070 Pet Robot Vacuum was a great choice!

The vacuum is the best thing I have ever got to make my life easier and less stressful.
The vacuum sucks debris, dusts, and food crumbs all well. It figures out which way to go and not to go by itself. It goes back to the charger by itself. I can schedule a cleaning time and the vacuum will clean the room before I wake up from my bed. 
I no longer have to worry about cords tangles and outlet near from the vacuum. I love it so much. The only downside is that my kids are so scared of it. They always get freaked out by the vacuum. However, it pleases me in a way especially when they do not listen to me and time out does not work but the vacuum does. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Smart cleaner

I have had experience with earlier versions of robot vacuums, before smart technology was added. It is astonishing how much this device can pick up. I used our regular vacuum to clean our hardwood and tile floors before I turned it loose, and I thought I did a good job. I was wrong. On its lowest setting it filled up its debris receptacle before it ran out of battery charge. While it was recharging, I emptied it. Once recharged, it went back to where it left off, and filled itself again! We have two dogs, and it was cleaning up dog hair from under the furniture and all the hard to reach spots that normally don't get attention from the regular vacuum, as well as getting all the dirt and hair that normally gathers along the baseboards. When it encounters an edge, it automatically goes into “Edge mode” where a squeegee type blade lowers and pulls debris away from the edge of the floor and into the vacuum. As far as the sensors on it, it does a great job at not smacking into and navigating around furniture. It also has a “cliff sensor” that keeps it from falling off ledges and steps. The PowerBot does a pretty good job transitioning to and from different surfaces. Rugs can be a particular challenge for it, as it can curl up the edge of lighter, thinner rugs and stop it from moving up onto them. It does continually try to adjust, and is successful for the majority of the time. It does have an impressive amount of clearance when trying to climb up onto rugs, as it has a sort of suspension that will raise the body as it tries to climb over a transition. The app that is used to control it is the SmartThings app. It is somewhat of a catch all app for all of Samsung's smart devices, so it offers a bit of convenience if you have other smart devices. The History feature is nice, because you can see not only when and how long the vacuum ran, but they also include a map to show where it ran. So, you're able to see where it may have problems getting around. Definitely a nice touch. The scheduling feature is nice, but limited. It allows for you to schedule a one-time use, or if you'd like it to run every day at a certain time. It would be a welcome addition if you could pick the days you'd like it to run, and maybe offer multiple schedules. While it's not perfect, and there are some improvements that would be nice additions, it is an impressive device that can clean floors on a daily basis and remove some of the workload from weekly chores. One Smart Vacuum

The Samsung POWERBot R7070 has incredibly powerful suction. It has 40 times the suction power of a standard Robo vac. It has a lot of cool features such as visual mapping, edge clean technology, a compatible app, three different sections settings and a self talking feature. As a cat owner, I'm always looking for the best vacuum to pick up all the fur and dander. This POWERbot did not disappoint! I'm amazed by the amount of dirt it picks up each time that I run it. I love the fact that I can start it manually by pressing a button, start it from my remote control, started from my app or schedule a daily cleaning. I also love the fact that it is super easy to empty into clean the brush head. This is a very low maintenance vacuum if you clean it regularly after every use. I personally preferred to use it on the Max Suction setting because it leaves ‘'clean lines'' on the carpet. I also love the way that if it doesn't finish cleaning the house, docs on its own, re-charges and then goes right back out to clean and finishes where it left off after it is fully recharged. I have personally never had any technical issues with it. It is a very reliable vacuum and gets the job done! I would definitely recommend it to friends and purchase Robo vacuums made by Samsung in the future. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Killer RoboVac!!

I looked at robotic vacuums for months. Vacuuming is not a good match for my chronic neck and shoulder issues and our beloved pup makes daily vacuuming necessary! After recently buying a lightweight upright, it was hard to spend a lot of money on a robot... It was well worth every penny! This little robot (Mrs. Hughes) saves me so much time and effort and I am thrilled with the work she does! Our hairy dog is a little frightened of her (we are slowly working on that) but our other dog doesn't mind her running around the house at all! My only dissapointment was learning AFTER purchase that it's not recommended for thick carpet which we have in our bedrooms. We may have considered another model had we known this. We chose Samsung after reading that it was quieter, because we love the other Samsung products we own, and because the offered a great Black Friday Deal!

Love Our First Robot!

Let me start this review by saying my wife did not want this robot vacuum! Needless to say, she was sold after the first use and we both love the Samsung POWERbot. We trust that it will do a great job automatically which frees up our time to do other things. First of all, this thing is powerful! What good is an automatic vacuum if it isn't powerful enough? The first time we set it up, my wife had already vacuumed the floor a day prior and yet this little vacuum almost filled its canister completely full with dust and dirt with one room. Second of all, it is automatic! It has sensors all over it so that you don't have to tell it where or where not to go. It has camera, bump and cliff protection sensors, so it automatically senses stairs and objects with ease. It gets under our freestanding oven/stove and between the chairs and under the table. It will automatically go down the halls and into the rooms and find its way back to the charger when it needs too. If we want it in a different room we pick it up and put it down in a room we want it to vacuum and press auto. I'll admit it's not perfect. Sometimes it misses a spot or gets a little overzealous with its remaining battery and has to stop away from the charger. We just pick it up and place it on the charger and make sure to press the play/pause button to wake it up so it starts charging. It's kind of weird but sometimes we watch our little robot for entertainment because of how amazing it works and it is fun to watch. We highly recommend this little robot and just wish we would have purchased Rover/Sam a long time ago! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Powerbot R7070! aka Rover/Sam! Our new family pet!

I have both this Powerbot and another brand robot vacuum.  I have nothing bad to say about either. I will say this Powerbot is much more powerful. After running through half a cycle I need to empty the dust bin. I couldn't be more pleased with this vacuum. It has a great mapping feature, cliff sensor, easy to empty bin, and will not bump into furniture hard. The Powerbot docks to the charging station much better than my other robot vacuum. Obstacles my other robot vacuum sees as insurmountable this powerbot easily tackles. The high power setting is about as loud as a regular vacuum but the performance is greater. I have less issues with this powerbot getting tangled in cords or jammed from pet hair.  It connects easily with the smartthings app and works with Alexa. I run this daily through my house and have yet to have any issues with it.  Having owned another robot vacuum before this one I was a little put off by the square head design but have found this to actually be its greatest advantage at cleaning edges and corners. Running this at high power does give it less battery life than my other robot vacuum but it also picks up much more than the other. If you are considering this product I would highly recommend it!

Completely amazed by this vacuum

This has to be the best thing I have bought in a very long time. To be honest, I did not know what to expect. I am always so busy with hardly any time to vacuum anymore so I really wanted a robot vacuum. Putting it together was pretty simple and once I charged it up, figuring out how to use it was also quite easy. I have hardwood floors, carpet and tile all within the same area so I was not sure if it would clean without me having to adjust the POWERbot. I let it run and it cleaned the room even though I did notice that it left a few areas un-vacuumed. The best way to use the POWERbot if you have an area that requires more vacuuming, let it work within that smaller area or each room at a time. It will keep vacuuming that area until the battery goes low before it returns home to recharge. When I did this, the room was much cleaner than when I let the POWERbot run round the whole house. So if you have an area that needs more vacuuming, you should let the POWERbot keep working the same area until it is clean then all you have to do is regular maintenance. The POWERbot did get stuck once or twice and I have had to pull it out myself but most of the time it goes in and out of tight areas on its own. An issue I have is that they only give you a short strip to stop the robot from falling over an edge like a stair. I have a sunken living room so I would need to spend extra to buy more. All in all the POWERbot does a pretty good job of keeping the house clean. It feels really good to have a clean house you did not have to pay anyone to clean and you did not have to clean yourself. Even my husband has started enjoys the POWERbot now that he no longer has to vacuum himself. This is worth the price and I would recommend the Samsung POWERbot 7070 to anyone. A vacuum worth the price

First impression of the Bot in the Box, very impressive, it comes well packed with sufficient instructions to do things in the right order. First it says the POWERbot should be fully charged before first use. Since I needed to install the app first, I didn't think this was a big deal. In fact it said it was fully charged after about 60 minutes out of the box.
Installation of the app on iOS went fairly smoothly, the only hiccup I encountered was I could not get the POWERbot one of of my WiFi networks (I have 5, so using a different networks was not a big deal, and it worked fine immediately - never found out why the initial problem). The app is pretty minimal, I'd kind of expected more with regard to programming, and options, but the robot seems to have all the smarts it needs built in. Still I wish you could review where it had been and to possibly give it area to exclude. Maybe in another version.
How does Rosie clean? Really pretty darn well. I tested it in 3 separate areas. My main living area is tiled with hardwood floors and some oriental throw rugs, the orientals are pretty plush, being 3/4" to 1" tall. The POWERbot easily climbed up these rugs, increased it's power and vacuumed each efficiently. It did a great job under the toekicks in the kitchen, and it repeated each area at least twice, it ran for almost 90 minutes on normal. I have to say it makes a noticable amount of noise, but probably half the volume of a Roomba 770 (my Daughter has one, and you really can't listen to the television when it's in the room. Not that much of a problems with the POWERbot . That I see as a big plus.
I hav smaller drop rugs in my bathrooom that I was concerned would be a problem for the POWERbot , but it had no real issues, and and off the small rugs with out bunching them up. Another plus. And it's easy to empty and clean, the dust bin ejects easily and can be washed out with water, and the filter can be washed, another big plus, and they give you an extra one. My other surprise was when the POWERbot came to a two step (tiled) drop, it did not fall, it detected the drop over and over and stayed on the upper level.
The lower level is all tile with a bed room, after making sure there were no cords dangling on the floor, I watched it go back and forth under the bed where there was a tight squeeze but it managed quite well. A couple of small throw rugs were no problem again. it did a great job along the edges, better than expected.
I then tried in my upstairs, where I have some more orientals, this time with fringe, a possible concern, so I watched what happened and my concerns were well founded. The fringe got cought up in the brushes and jammed. I had to stop the POWERbot and back the fringe out, no harm, but I wouldn't try this on more expensive rugs. So for now I have to only use POWERbot in rooms without fringly rugs. For some this may be a bigger issue, but for me I'll probably only use it one area.
Yes it like a dancing bear, you'll watch it and be amazed for a while. It bumps into things VERY gently, as it "sees" then coming. I have alot of glass vases on my floors and the POWERbot touch each of them gently, not enought for be to be worried in the future. It much more quite than a roomba, and probably sucks stronger/smarter. It won't wake you up when it starts and stops like a roomba....I happy with my POWERbot (Rosie) wish I could teach it to avoid the fringe on my oriental rugs. But for now I just have to keep it away; (it does have magnetic "gates" you can use, maybe I'll try this around the fringe (not hopeful thought). But I do recommend my new friend Rosie (POWERbot 7070). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
