What Kind Of CBD Products Does Paw CBD Offer?

The parent company cbdMD carries a wide range of products for humans including CBD oil tinctures, topicals, gummies, capsules, and even sleep aids. All of their products are made with superior broad-spectrum CBD which is completely THC-free, vegan, and non-GMO.

When it comes to their pet products, cbdMD offers an impressive variety of Paw CBD options. In addition to CBD oil tinctures for both dogs and cats, Paw CBD offers several different soft chews, treats, topicals, and even CBD peanut butter.

Here’s an overview of some of their products for cats:

  • CBD oil tincture 150mg
  • CBD oil tincture 300mg
  • Chicken & catnip CBD soft chews
  • Salmon flavor CBD kidney support chews
  • CBD product bundles

All of Paw CBD’s products come in at least two flavors and two concentrations. This makes it easy to choose a flavor your cat will like in a formulation that is easy to dose. With the CBD oil tinctures, you can drop the liquid right into your cat’s mouth or add it to his food. The soft chews can be fed directly.

In terms of flavor, Paw CBD oil tinctures come in either natural flavor or catnip flavor. Soft chews come in Chicken & Catnip flavor and the Kidney Support chews are salmon flavor.

What Do Customers Think Of Paw CBD?

As a cat owner, your cat’s health and wellness is your responsibility. It’s important to do your research before trying a new product to make sure it is safe and beneficial for your cat. This is particularly true of CBD products because they are fairly new to market, especially for pets.

In doing your research, it’s a good idea to review the company’s history and to look at their product line as a whole. Make sure the company uses third-party lab testing and see if you can find a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for the product as well. It also doesn’t hurt to see what current customers have to say.

Let’s take a look at a few customer reviews from some of the most popular products.

“I had been using CBD products for some time from another company at our cat sanctuary. The problem was with administering the products. Either I had to hide powders in wet food (that didn’t always work) or administer tinctures that they HATED. But these soft chews are different! The cats LOVE the taste – no more hassle! Great for pain due to inflammation.” – Deeskis reviewing Paw CBD Soft Chews 300mg

“My 18 year old cat is about 7 pounds and has arthritis in her hind legs. We give her Adequan shots, but that’s as far as our vet has been able to help. I hesitate to attribute 100% of her improvement to this cbd oil because she’s been weaning off of… some dehydrating medication and her energy is increasing due to that as well. BUT she is FAR less wobbly, she’s walking more steadily, and she’s been playing and jumping on the couch again (two things she hasn’t done in over a month).” – Ahhshark reviewing Paw CBD Oil Tincture for Cats

In researching Paw CBD, we weren’t able to find many reviews that weren’t posted directly on the cbdMD website. That being the case, we weren’t surprised to find all 5-star reviews. We looked for reviews elsewhere, but the brand is still fairly new.

#1 Paw CBD Oil Tincture for Cats

Paw CBD Oil Tincture for Cats

Check Price

Available in two concentrations (150mg and 300mg), Paw CBD oil tinctures for cats are made with broad-spectrum hemp which means there is no THC. These oils contain two simple ingredients: MCT oil and hemp-derived CBD (with catnip extract for the catnip flavor).

Compared to some of the other brands we’ve reviewed, Paw CBD is very affordably priced. Their CBD oils range from just $0.10 to $0.13 per mg of CBD and they come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Though there are only two concentrations available, it makes sense for cats because they don’t require very high doses due to their size.

Speaking of dosing, that’s one area where Paw CBD could improve. The serving size on the label is 1ml for cats 15 pounds and over. Though cats that large certainly exist, the average housecat only weighs about 10 pounds. We’d prefer to see the dosing instructions broken down by pound or, at least, divided for cats under 10 pounds and for larger cats.

We appreciate the simplicity of this product in terms of its short ingredient list and the affordable pricing. We also like that it comes in two different flavors.

  • Dosing instructions only for cats 15+ pounds

#2 Paw CBD Soft Chews for Cats

Paw CBD Soft Chews for Cats

Check Price

These Paw CBD soft chews for cats are available in two cocnentrations (150mg and 300mg) and come in a Chicken & Catnip flavor. Each container has about 150 chews in it and the price ranges from $24.99 for the 150mg concentration to $34.99 for the 300mg concentration.

We found these CBD soft chews to have a discernible smell, but it was more herbal than anything else. This may explain why, in testing these soft chews with our cats, we found that they simply weren’t interested. They gave the chews a good sniff, then simply wandered away. They did, however, like the Kidney Support chews.

We do like that these soft chews start with real chicken as the first ingredient (after cannabidiol), though we could do without the pea flour and garbanzo flour. These aren’t necessarily bad ingredients, but they seem to perform the role of a filler here and there are better options.

In terms of the dosage for these soft chews, Paw CBD recommends 5 chews per day (about 10mg of CBD) for cats 12 pounds and over.

Again, it’s a little odd to see such a high dosage and that it isn’t appropriate for the size of an average house cat. Customers can adjust their cat’s dose as needed, of course, but it could be clearer.

#3 Paw CBD Kidney Support Chews

Paw CBD Kidney Support Chews

Though these CBD soft chews contain cannabidiol like the previous recipe, they also contain additional ingredients for kidney support. These salmon-flavored soft chews come in two concentrations – 150mg and 300mg – and they are a little more expensive than the Chicken & Catnip flavor.

We did a little research into the ingredients Paw CBD uses in these soft chews because their website doesn’t say why these chews are good for kidney support.

Licorice root is a natural remedy that contains glycyrrhizin which offers significant anti-inflammatory benefits. It also acts as an antihepatotoxic which means it may help protect the liver against various viruses and toxins. Astragalus root supports immune function and kidney circulation while nettle leaf extract is rich in minerals and has been used as a natural remedy for kidney stones.

Similar to the previous product, these Paw CBD chews are recommended for a dosage of 5 chews for cats 12 pounds and up. At the 150mg concentration, that’s about 5mg of CBD per day.

As mentioned earlier, our test cats seemed to enjoy these salmon-flavored chews, though they weren’t particularly interested in the Chicken & Catnip flavor. To our nose, the scent was definitely less herbal.

Ingredients

Licorice root powder, astragalus root powder, nettle leaf extract, cannabidiol (CBD), coconut glycerin, garbanzo flour, MCT oil (from coconut), mixed tocopherols, natural salmon flavor, palm fruit oil, pea flour, rosemary extract, salmon, sorbic acid, sunflower lecithin.

How Much Does Paw CBD Cost?

The cost of CBD products can vary greatly, even CBD for pets. Paw CBD offers two different options: CBD oil tinctures and CBD soft chews. Their oil tinctures come in two concentrations – 150mg and 300mg – as do their soft chews. The soft chews come in containers of 150 chews and the oil in 30ml bottles.

The best way to directly compare the pricing of CBD products between different companies is to look at the price per mg of CBD.

Paw CBD oil tinctures cost $19.99 for the 150mg concentration and $29.99 for the 300mg concentration. Both flavors have the same cost. There’s a slight price different between the original Chicken & Catnip soft chews and the Kidney Support soft chews. The Chicken & Catnip flavor costs $24.99 for 150mg and $34.99 for 300mg. The Kidney Support soft chews cost $29.99 for 150mg and $39.99 for 300mg.

Overall, the cost of Paw CBD products is comparable to other brands. If you break it down into the price per mg of CBD, you’ll get something between $0.12 and $0.15 per mg.

Where Can You Buy Paw CBD?

With most of the brands we review, the best place to buy is directly from the brand’s website. If you want to shop Paw CBD’s selection of products, that’s still the best option. You may, however, be able to find Paw CBD in some specialty pet stores or vape shops. cbdMD does offer wholesale options for distributors, though it’s unclear whether this applies to their pet products as well.

If you purchase directly from Paw CBD, your purchase is covered by a satisfaction guarantee. If you decide you don’t like the product, you can receive your money back within 30 days of purchase. Another benefit of ordering online is free 2 to 3-day shipping on all orders in the USA.

Overall, Is Paw CBD A Good Choice?

Generally speaking, we like Paw CBD and we appreciate that they offer a variety of products without making things too confusing. We always like to see a pet CBD brand offering both CBD oil tinctures and chews or treats, especially considering how tricky it can be to administer liquid CBD to a cat.

In terms of pricing, Paw CBD is very affordable. Their products were priced similarly to other brands we’ve reviewed, though the CBD oil tinctures certainly provide the best bang for your buck. We like that these tinctures come in both flavored and unflavored options, though we didn’t find there seemed to be much of a difference between the natural and catnip flavors.

The biggest issue we have with Paw CBD is their dosing instructions. We understand that dosing for CBD products is usually based on humans, but pets are much smaller (especially cats) and it’s important to make the dosing clear for pet owners. Overall, we think Paw CBD is a good brand and we’re satisfied with the quality and safety of their products, though the dosing instructions could use a little work.
