They use a variety of raw meats, fresh vegetables, and nutrient-dense superfoods to create raw foods for dogs and cats, all designed by in-house nutritionists with consultation from industry professionals and veterinary partners.

All of Nutriment’s pet food products are made by hand in their countryside production facility, Laverstoke Park Farm, located in Overton, Hampshire. The farm holds an organic certification and follows ethical approaches to farming and sustainability.

This commitment to sustainability shows up in their packaging as well. Nutriment uses recycled plastic in their packaging and works with Red Tractor assured farming partners and takes steps to ensure efficiency in their shipping and logistics operations.

Positive Reviews

“Website is easy to navigate and place orders. Order placed on Friday arrived Monday lunch, produce arrived insulated so everything remained frozen. Would definitely recommend.” – Sarah Buckley, October 2021

“We have two Sphynx Cats who have been on kibble for 7 years and I thought they were in a healthy condition. We recently switched them onto nutriment RAW and I can’t believe the difference… The difference has been amazing in just 4 weeks. Their skin is so so soft and the sphynx grease has massively reduced, their poos don’t smell which really helps with indoor cats. They have a lot more energy and our girl is slowly becoming more affectionate. I couldn’t recommend RAW enough our cats are like kittens again and it really shows.”– Stephanie Ellarby, September 2021

Negative Reviews

“We’ve been pretty happy with this food for years but recently have been finding small bits of blue plastic in it. My brother has contacted you direct but not heard anything?? It’s not in one specific meat either. Please could you contact him asap.”– Amy Field, October 2021

“First experience of Nutriment. Very pleased with the food that arrived as promised the following day, well packaged and still frozen, however ordering was extremely difficult. I rang up to order and was told that I needed to enter my details online and then place my order online. It took two further long phone calls with a helpful gentleman talking me through what I needed to do. I found placing an order very stressful.”– Technophobe, September 2020

Formulated for adult cats of all breeds, this raw cat food features beef heart as the primary ingredient, supplemented with chicken with bone and two other beef organs: kidney and liver. The only other main ingredients are cold-water salmon oil, kelp powder, spirulina powder, and wheat germ oil.

We love that this formula is packed with animal protein, especially nutrient-rich organ meats and chicken that includes the raw bone. Salmon oil is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids and, because it is listed first, we don’t mind that the recipe also includes a plant-based fat (wheat germ oil).

Overall, this appears to be a protein-rich recipe with high inclusions of healthy fat and minimal carbohydrate content.

British Beef Heart 63%, British Chicken with Bone (dressed carcasses) 30%, (British Beef Kidney, British Beef Liver 6%), Scottish Cold Water Salmon Oil, Raw Sea Kelp Powder (Laminaria japonica), Spirulina Powder (Spirulina platensis), Wheat Germ Oil (natural vitamin E).

One of two frozen meatball recipes, this formula features beef tripe as the primary ingredient. In fact, it is the only ingredient aside from a little vegetable fiber.

This recipe is protein-packed and full of natural beef flavor as well as healthy animal-based fats. The thing to keep in mind is that it is a complementary product, not designed to be fed as your cat’s staple diet. It can be used to supplement your cat’s diet for a boost of raw nutrition.

Overall, this product is a rich source of species-appropriate nutrition packed with protein and healthy fats with very low carbohydrate content.

Overall, Is Nutriment Cat Food A Good Choice?

Nutriment offers a limited variety of raw frozen foods for cats including one nutritionally complete recipe and two complementary frozen products. We love the quality of their foods; we just wish they had a greater variety. If you’re looking for a company that offers good flavor variety, or even a variety of different product types, Nutriment might not be the best choice.

Though the quality of Nutriment’s products seems clear, we weren’t able to test them for ourselves. Judging based on a 4.6-star rating out of over 1,200 reviews on TrustPilot, however, it seems likely that Nutriment’s products hold up to the company’s claims of quality. If you live in the UK, we recommend Nutriment as a raw cat food brand to try.

Where Is Nutriment Cat Food Sold?

As a UK company, the best place to buy Nutriment pet food is online through Nutriment’s website or locally through independent retailers. You can find Nutrition pet foods in pet retailer stores around the UK or you can shop directly in the Nutriment Factory Shop located in Camberley, Surrey.
